Achieving uniform and repeatable color in blocks, pavers and other concrete units requires precise pigment dosing in each batch. Rometa's color doser automates the process: it stores, weighs and delivers each pigment to the aggregate line according to the dose set from the control cabin.
What is a concrete color doser?
It is equipment that stores pigments and dispenses them by weight in each production cycle, before they reach the mixer together with the aggregates. Each color has its own hopper, so you can change colors without emptying or cleaning the system.
How Rometa's color doser works
The process is completely automatic:
- The operator sets the dose for each color from the control cabin.
- The weighing cart moves under the selected color hopper.
- The pigment is discharged until the indicated weight is reached, controlled by load cells.
- The cart carries the dose to the aggregate conveyor or skip.
- The pigment reaches the mixer together with the aggregates.
Advantages of the automatic color doser
- Flexible configuration:1 to 4 colors, depending on each plant's needs.
- Control from cabin:the operator sets the quantities without intervening on the equipment.
- Precise weighing:each dose is measured by load cells.
- Less dust:Hermetic design that protects the pigment and keeps the work environment clean.
- Easy access and maintenance:Structure with stairs, railings and platforms.
- Integration into the line:Direct discharge into the conveyor belt or aggregate skip.
Why does precise pigment dosing matter?
In the production of coloured pieces, colour uniformity depends on each batch containing the same amount of pigment. An automatic dispenser converts concrete colouring into a measured, clean and repeatable process, and helps maintain consistent colour across batches.
