Aggregate unloading point

The truck unloads into a hopper and the aggregate is conveyed up by belt to the distributor, which fills each hopper of the plant. If space is limited, a vertical aggregate elevator allows for a much more compact installation.

More and more customers want to incorporate an aggregate unloading point into their plant with an automatic hopper filling system using a distributor. This eliminates the need to load hoppers manually with a shovel and speeds up truck unloading.

How does the aggregate unloading point work?

The process is straightforward:

  • The truck unloads the aggregate into a receiving hopper.
  • A conveyor belt raises the material to the distribution conveyor.
  • The distributor fills each of the plant hoppers.

Two solutions depending on available space

  • Inclined conveyor belt (classic system):is the most common solution. It requires sufficient run length to reach the height of the hoppers.
  • Vertical aggregate elevator:when space is limited, it replaces the inclined conveyor belt. The installation becomes more compact and the occupied surface area is drastically reduced.

Which system is right for your plant?

It depends on available space and the configuration of your installation. We advise you without obligation on the solution that best suits your facility.
